Week 9 - Results and Highlights
2/13/12
Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Councilor Paul J. Leary vs. Park Ave Market
Will Perron and James Walsh each scored 17 points to lead Councilor Paul J. Leary to a nail biter 60-59 victory over Park Ave Market. Logan Smith and Steven Picard also played well for Councilor Leary. Ryan Craig played an amazing game, scoring 31 points for Park Ave, while Jared Thomas and Frankie Dragone added defensive pressure.
Game 2: Fabiano Florist vs. Weymouth Eagles
Ben Flynn scored 18 points, including 4 three-pointers, for Fabiano Florist in their 62-48 win over the Weymouth Eagles. Peter Kinney, Donovan Golden, and Doug O’Brien showed great hustle on both ends of the court for Fabiano Florist, while Alex Hurd and Anthony Laugelle played great games for the Eagles.
Game 3: Verizon vs. JF Price
JF Price defeated Verizon 50-41 behind a combined 20 points from Tom Nolan and Shaun Herdman. Dan Berg, Dagan Ficociello, and Chris O’Sullivan paced the offensive attack for Verizon despite the loss.
Game 4: Weymouth Elks vs. Dunkin Donuts
The Weymouth Elks defeated Dunkin Donuts, 66-41, behind amazing team defensive play. Shane Lynch and Jonathan Meade led the offense for the Elks, while Mike Nigro, Andrew McCabe, and Cherif Dugraca played well for Dunkin Donuts.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In Thursday’s first game:
South Shore Sports Therapy vs. Dunkin Donuts- In a trying effort Andrew Bisschop snagged multiple offensive rebounds and delivered nine points for Dunkin Donuts, however they fell short to a South Shore Sports Therapy team led by Niko Spadea's guard play at both ends of the floor.
Eastern Exposure vs. SSSavings- Kevin O'brien led the game in scoring dropping twenty three points in a big win over Eastern Exposure who dominated the paint with their big men Mike Coughlan and Dakota MacDonald.
Sunday:
Game 1: Rogers Law Firm vs. Weymouth Bank
Game one was a great start. Rogers Law Firm lost to Weymouth Bank (37-49). Patrick Flaherty for Rogers Law Firm had an awesome game with some excellent plays for his team. Also, David Liddell contributed very positively with great shots and intense hustle. Joseph Concannon and Justin Maggard kept their team motivated dominating offensively with incredible rebounds and crucial baskets. Weymouth Bank dominated the game and used great teamwork to keep the lead. Wyatt Wagner hustled constantly and played solid defense for his team. Liam Butler and Nick Feeney ran their hearts out making productive plays.
Game 2: Mass Tire vs. Colonial Federal
Game two’s close score made it an exhilarating game. Mass Tire ended up stealing the win beating Colonial Federal by only one point (23-22). Mass Tire’s Ryan Hayes out hustled mostly every player with his intense runs and amazing effort. Gerard Mackin had a fantastic game with both offensive and defensive rebounds and was always in great position under the boards. Colonial Federal displayed tremendous effort battling with Mass Tire until the very last second. Thomas Gable helped his time by being involved with awesome plays and was a great team player. Kevin Whittenmore constantly ran the court always being the first back on defense helping his team greatly.
Game 3: Kelley’s Oil vs. Weymouth Summer Hoops
In Game three Kelley’s Oil lost to Weymouth Summer Hoops resulting in a final score of 14-36. Joe Walsh of Kelley’s Oil showed constant effort and extreme hard work for his team never giving up. John McHugh was involved in many well done plays and played awesome defense. Steve Guaranga was another hustle player who worked with his team extremely well. Weymouth Summer Hoops was able to pull off the win with serious help from Daniel Freitas having a dynamite game with non-stop baskets and helped his team dominate offensively. Zach Hoffman and Sean Owen also had an amazing game with strong drives to the basket and hard hustle.
Game 4: Olden’s Pharmacy vs. Electroswitch
In game four Olden’s Pharmacy beat Electroswitch with a final score of 37-15. Zachary Scales of Olden’s Pharmacy played a nice game with some great shots and solid defense. Marc Panico also was very involved contributing to his team’s win. Tim Keeley did an excellent job handling the guard position making some excellent passes to his teammates. Electoswitch was down the whole game but I applaud their amazing effort given that they never stop playing hard. Sean Tyrell was on the floor hustling for loose balls and expressed intense effort. Caleb O’Connor was one out the many players that hustled throughout the game and also made some great plays.
Game 5: Cathay Center vs. Dell
In game five Dell defeated Cathay Center 28-20. Cameron Mason had an unbelievable game all around scoring 10 points making plays everywhere. Jared Newman also helped with some great steals and strong drives to the basket. Declan Lawlor played aggressive and great D for his team. Dell’s Ethan Day and Alex Kennedy made it possible for Dell take the win. There aggressive moves to the basket and Alex’s great determination was very helpful. Jesse Cinquini played a very nice game contributing positively by being a great team player.
Game 6: Scapicchio Law Offices vs. Great Cuts
Scapicchio Law Offices beat Great Cuts with a final score 45-24. Ed Kelly helped his team out by playing terrific defense and showing great hustle. Rich Heath committed to tough playing with awesome hard work and effort. Bill Loud of Scapicchio Law Offices was another player who constantly was involved with the plays because he never stopped running and working hard. Great like usually, never gave up and kept playing with intense hustle. Robert Jones had a spectacular game with 12 points and some terrific cuts to the basket. Shawn Rice played aggressively with smart defense. William Duane showed off some great shots.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
Verizon vs. Weymouth Police. On Verizon, the leading scorer was AJ Gannon with 12 points. Kevin Kiely was close behind him though with 10 points and also played amazing defense with two fouls! For Weymouth Police, the leading scorer was Chris Comeau with 8 points! Elliot Mcleod played well also with 2 points and played good defense with 2 fouls. The game ended 46-18 with Verizon winning.
Game two:
Scappicchio Law Office vs. Jimmy's Diner. The leading scorer for Scappicchio Law Office was Mark Matthews, hitting two 3 point shots and having 12 points in total! Ryan St. Clair also had a great game with 6 points and 4 fouls! For Jimmy's Diner, the leading scorer was Bridgette O'Reilly with 11 points. Anton Blaho and Justin Dunphy also played well, each scoring 4 points! The game ended 25-20 with Jimmy's Diner winning.
Game three:
Quincy Credit vs. Weymouth Fire. For Quincy Credit, the leading scorer was Paul Foisey with 16 points. Matteo Spadea also played great with 5 points! On Weymouth Fire, the leading scorer was Dan Picard with 12 points. Nick Mariani played a very solid game of defense with 4 fouls! The game ended 31-20 with Quincy Credit winning.
Game four:
S Bank vs. S. Weymouth Barbor Shop. For S Bank, the leading scorer was Joe Barrows with 12 points. Dylan Mahoney also played very well with 8 points! For S. Weymouth Barbor Shop the leading scorer was Zack Silver with 4 points! Kayley Cripps and Sean Young both also scored 2 points! The game ended 29-9 with S Bank winning.
Game five:
Weymouth Bank vs. IBEW Local 103. The leading scorer for Weymouth Bank was Ben Randolph with 12 points. Patrick Manning was close behind him with 10 points! For IBEW Local 103, the leading scorer was Neil Sanders with 4 points! Thomas Sheehan, Marco Pizzi and Sean O'Brien each scored 2 points! The game ended 33-10 with Weymouth Bank winning.
Game six:
Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons vs. S. Weymouth K of C. The leading scorer for Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons was Zaire Fontes with 13 points! Cam Leonard also played well and scored 2 points! For S. Weymouth K of C the leading scorer was Vincent Brennan was 14 points! Patrick Goodine had a good game as well with 4 points! The game ended 26-21 with S. Weymouth K of C winning.
Game seven:
Dentistry for Children vs. Cameron's Gulf. The leading scorer for Dentistry for Children was Jack Jamieson with 15 points. John Niles had a great game as well with 6 points! On Cameron's Gulf, the leading scorer was Conor Stokes with 13 points. Shane Scannell also played a great game with 8 points! The game ended 25-23 with Dentistry for Children winning.

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Mitchelson Club vs. Weymouth Eagles
Mitchelson Club defeated the Weymouth Eagles, 53-47, in a close game behind great offensive efforts from Joe Brav, Brian Umano, and Bobby Doucette. Al Ramos, Nick Venturo, and Brian Garland led the Eagles on both ends of the court.
Game 2: JF Price vs. Councilor Paul J. Leary
James Walsh scored 10 points, and Will Perron and Sebastian Stypulkowski helped pace Councilor Paul J. Leary to a 54-36 win over JF Price. Scott Volovcin, Liam McLeod, and Liam Hally all played great games for JF Price despite the loss.
Game 3: Park Ave Market vs. Verizon
Park Ave Market defeated Verizon 59-49 behind 25 points from Brendan Gifford, and strong defensive pressure from Dan Sheehan and Gabe Montenegro. Matt Long scored 22 points, while Kyle Spaulding and Cam Castro played tough down low for Verizon.
Game 4: Fabiano Florist vs. Dunkin Donuts
Josh Andrews scored 28 points to lead Dunkin Donuts to a 64-40 victory over Fabiano Florist. Darian Allen and Michael Blanchard also played well in the paint for Dunkin Donuts, while Peter Kinney, Ben Flynn, and Alex Rautiala led the offense for Fabiano Florist.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In Thursday’s first game:
Weymouth Summer Hoops vs. Dell- Dan Freitas and Steven Kelcourse had a combine eighteen points to lead Weymouth Summer Hoops to victory over Dell who's Tom Brigham contributed five points.
Eastern Exposure vs. Electroswitch- Sharp shooting from Cam Powers and Mark Mederios ensured a win for Eastern Exposure, Pete Hickey scored five points for Electroswitch in their effort to come back from their deficit.
Sunday:
Game 1: Cathay Center vs. Rogers Law Firm
Game one started out exciting. Rogers Law Firm ending up beating Cathay Center with a final score of 44-32. Cathay Center did not give up without putting up a great fight. Kevin McGary always had great positioning and played and excellent game with some awesome passes. Stephen Furtado battled for one loose ball and ended up getting hurt but still hustled through to finish with an outstanding game. Drew Modestino for Rogers Law Firm played a terrific game and showed great effort and had some very nice shots. Paul Scannell also showed exceptional hustle and effort providing great strides for his team.
Game 2: Colonial Federal vs. Kelley’s Oil
In Game two Kelley’s Oil had a hardworking comeback. Colonial Federal defeated Kelley’s Oil 33-18. Colin Denizkurt of Colonial Federal had a great game and helped his team take the lead with his awesome teamwork. Brenden Reilly did not disappoint his team with his remarkable defense. John McHugh of Kelley’s Oil was on the ground fighting for loose balls and had an attitude and never gave up. Steve Guaranga played with heart out with intense hustle.
Game 3: Great Cuts vs. Olden’s Pharmacy
Olden’s Pharmacy beat Great Cuts (48-33). Nick Riley of Great Cuts hels down his team’s defense and played all around aggressive. Liam O’Donovan played excellent with some strong rebounds and outlet passes. Zachary Scales also held his team’s defense down making a strong impact. Micheal Miller had an all around great hustle.
Game 4: Mass Tire vs. Weymouth Bank
The final result of the game was Mass Tire 44 and Weymouth Bank 31. Matt Dicesare did not hold his aggression back when competing against his opponents, he had many great attacks. Ryan Hayes also contributed greatly to his team’s win helping all around. Weymouth Bank struggled but never backed down. Matt Gaudet and Wyatt Wagner helped Weymouth Bank push with an extra effort to try to trail Mass Tire. It was a great all around effort for both teams.
Game 5: Scapicchio Law Offices vs. S.Shore Sports Therapy
The final result of the game was Scapicchio Law Offices 28 and S.Shore Sports Therapy 45. Cam Norling helped his team push right until the end with unbelievable effort. William Loud and Jack Laub also were positive influences for their hard working team. Jared Kennedy made great strides for his team along with John Yi who had some outstanding plays. Eric Farrell received some great rebounds.
Game 6: Dunkin Donuts vs. S. Shore Savings
This last game was a nail-bitter and very intense down to the last seconds. Dunkin Donuts ended up losing to S.Shore Savings 25-28. Sean Yergeau played awesome for his team with great hustle plays. Bobby Foley held his team down with outstanding effort all over the court making important plays for his team. Steve LeGere’s hard work definitely paid off for his team’s victory. Hamza Khalid never gave up and had unstoppable D.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
Dentistry for Children vs. Weymouth Fire. For Dentistry for Children, the leading scorer was Jack Jamieson with 15 points. Thomas Delorey wasn't far behind him with 13 points though! Caleb Herring hit scored two points and a foul shot to win the game for his team as well. On Weymouth Fire, the leading scorer was Dan Picard with 18 points! Nathan Liebert also played well with 4 fouls and 4 points. The game ended 39-36 Dentistry for Children winning.
Game two:
IBEW Local 103 vs. Jimmy's Diner. The leading scorer for IBEW Local 103 was George Zarcov with 11 points. Matt McCabe also played great with 9 points. For Jimmy's Diner, Bridgette O'Reilly was the leading scorer with 20 points. Justin Dunphy and Tyler Wallace both each contributed 10 points to their team as well! The game ended 46-30 Jimmy's Diner winning.
Game three:
S. Weymouth Barbor Shop vs. Quincy Credit. The leading scorer for S. Weymouth Barbor Shop was Dennis Brooks with 10 points! He played very strong on offense the whole game. Peter Crisileo also played a great game with 3 fouls and 2 points. Nick Dragone played a solid game of defense fouling out of the game. For Quincy Credit, the leading scorer was Paul Foisey with 10 points. Matteo Spadea also played well with 6 points and solid defense fouling out of the game. The game ended 32-16 with Quincy Credit winning.
Game four:
Weymouth Police vs. Scappicchio Law Office. The leading scorer for Weymouth Police was Chris Comeau with 9 points. Jim Abdallah also played great with 6 points! For Scappicchio Law Office the leading scorer was Mark Matthews with 15 points! Matt MacDonald also played a great game contributing 10 points! The game ended 33-25 with Scappicchio Law Office winning.
Game five:

Game six:
Weymouth Bank vs. Weymouth K of C. For Weymouth Bank, the leading scorer was Ben Randolph with 19 points and Patrick Manning with 18 points. Joe Sullivan also did great with 8 points. On Weymouth K of C, the leading scorer was Vincent Brennan with 23 points! Brian Moriarty played a great defensive game, fouling out. The game ended 48-34 Weymouth Bank winning.

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Dunkin Donuts vs. Park Ave Market
Cherif Dugraca was a force in the paint for Dunkin Donuts, scoring 18 points in their 54-47 victory over Park Ave Market. Sam Corcoran and Mitch Hickey also paced the offense for Dunkin Donuts, while Brendan Gifford and Brett Schlager played well for Park Ave.
Game 2: Mitchelson Club vs. JF Price
Joe Brav scored 11 points, while Robert Terravecchia and Colin O’Donnell helped lead Mitchelson Club to a 55-44 win over JF Price. Joe Hally, Jack Connelly, and Austin Monroe played well on both ends of the court for JF Price despite the loss.
Game 3: Weymouth Elks vs. Councilor Paul J. Leary
The third game of the day came down to the final minutes and resulted in a 69-61 victory for Councilor Paul Leary over the Weymouth Elks. Matt Scannell scored 30 points, while Liam Hennessey and Joe McDonald led the offensive attack for Councilor Leary. Dalvin Lopes led the offense for the Elks with 25 points, while Jacob White added defensive pressure.
Game 4: Weymouth Eagles vs. Verizon
The Weymouth Eagles defeated Verizon, 55-43, behind 15 points from Anthony Laugelle and great games from Eric Sacchetti and Mike Resca. Dan Berg, Cam Castro, and Dagan Ficociello helped pace the attack for Verizon despite the loss.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In Thursday’s first game
Scapicchio Law Offices vs. SSS Bank
-Anythony DeBello led the way to a four point victory with 26 points for Scappicchio Law Offices, and Kevin O'Brien stayed aggressive on offense dropping 12 points for South Shore Savings Bank.
The Rogers Law Firm vs. Olden's Pharmacy
- Matt O'neill held a big presense in the paint delivery 7 points and a win for Olden's Pharmacy. In a trying effort Zach Bouhou scored 13 points for The Rogers Law Firm.
Sunday Game 1:
Weymouth Bank vs. Dell
Game one was an excellent start. The final score was 34-18 and Weymouth Bank was able to pull off the win. Weymouth Bank had many superstars who showed phenomenal effort. Jake Mahoney made some terrific passes along with Matt Gaudet who did not stop hustling the whole game. Joe Bulter showed great aggression as he put great pressure on the other team’s defense. Dell also consisted of many hard workers. Cam Sullivan and Jesse Cinquini helped their team a great deal by playing solid defense and they kept hustling throughout the game. Alex Kennedy showed off his unbelievable skills and dominated in both ends off the court, finishing with 12 points.
Game 2: Mass Tire vs. Kelley’s Oil
In Game two, Mass Tire defeated Kelley’s Oil with a final score of 34-27. Kelley’s Oil had an amazing comeback in which all members of the team contributed. Mass Tire used incredible teamwork to push their team ahead with help from Ryan Hayes and Trey Randolph. Rashaad Mitchner distributed excellent effort and hustle and had great movement and position. Ryan Morahan received many offensive rebounds off the boards and helped his team with awesome defense. Kelley’s Oil team fought through the finish. Joe Walsh had some nice hustle plays and played great along with Jared DiPierto. Colin Higgins had a remarkable game with outstanding effort and teamwork. Nicholas Struzzieri had many amazing shots which included two threes, almost enough for Kelley’s Oil to catch up.
Game 3: Dunkin Donuts vs. Colonial Federal
Game three started off being a very close scoring competitive match. Dunkin Donuts ending up taking the win against Colonial Federal 28-20. Bobby Foley had a terrific game with smart passes and went strong to the basket many times. Bobby O’Neal also had a great game with solid defense and six points. Dominic Pacino showed hard work and awesome hustle and he was always the first to get back on defense. Colonial Ferderal’s Thomas Gable and Hunter Lloyd gave the team motivation to try to catch up to Dunkin Donuts. Colin Denizkurt constant hustle does not go without notice.
Game 4: South Shore Sports Therapy vs. Electroswitch
In Game four, South Shore Sports Therapy beat Electroswitch with a final score of 41-29. John Yi of South Shore Sports Therapy played an awesome great making great plays all around. Jaydeep Saini also played an excellent game with six points and some aggressive rebounds. Jared Kennedy expressed great hustle and always was in the right position. Peter Hickey of Electroswitch had a terrific game with some great shots. D’andre Maziarz was full of hustle and motivation and tracked down every loose ball with intense speed. Andrew Galvin has some amazing lead passes to his teammates.
Game 5: Eastern Exposure vs. Cathay Center
Game 5 was also a very well played game. Eastern Exposure ended up winning over Cathay Center. (46-33) Nick Phillips played an awesome game and showed incredible work ethic. Dylan Letorney made some key plays that kept his team involved. Mike Howes constantly hustled throughout the game and had an extreme impact with his great defense. For Cathay Center, Stephen Furtado showed intense hustle and hard work and very involved. Allan Barata played some ferocious defense and tracked down all of his opponents. He had much help from Brian Callahan and Kevin McGary.
Game 6: Weymouth Summer Hoops vs. Great Cuts
The final game was a great ending. Weymouth Summer Hoops won over Great Cuts, the final score was 29-19. Nicholas Spinella played a hard game putting in much effort his team. Grady Shea had an amazing game making a tremendous impact with great passes, four points and one great block. Sean Owen helped out Weymouth Summer Hoops extremely with his great hustle. Shawn Rice of Great Cuts played a solid game being very aggressive but containing control on defense. William Duane also had great defense with a couple strong offensive moves. Liam O’Donovan had one great assist that just lead to an overall awesome play.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
S. Weymouth K of C vs Scappicchio Law Office. This was a very close game! The leading scorers for S. Weymouth K of C were Brian Moriarty, James Curran and Vincent Brennan, each with 7 points! On Scappicchio Law Office, the leading scorer was Nick Tardanico with 8 points! Matt MacDonald also played well with 1 foul and 2 points! The game ended 24-19 S. Weymouth K of C winning.
Game two:
Quincy Credit vs Verizon. Matteo Spadea was the leading scorer for Quincy Credit with 12 points! Brendan Crowley also played well for his team with 4 points and 1 foul. On Verizon, the leading scorer was AJ Gannon with 15 points. Brady Lewis also played really well with 12 points! Sean Garrity was also aggressive on defense with 4 fouls. The game ended 49-24 Verizon winning.
Game three:
Weymouth Police vs S Bank. The leading scorer for Weymouth Police was Chris Comeau with 12 points. Jake Parker also played great with 5 points! For S Bank, the leading scorer was Richard Barrows with 9 points. Jay Siegfried played well also with 4 points! The game ended 39-29 S Bank winning.

Dentistry for Children vs Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons. This game was very close and was played out all the way to the buzzer! The leading scorer for Dentistry for Children was Jack Jamieson with 17 points! Thomas Delorey also played an excellent game with 7 points and he scored the free throw which won the game for his team! For Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons the leading scorer was Zaire Fontes with 18 points! Colin Murphy also played an excellent game with 3 fouls and 8 points! The game ended 34-33 Dentistry for Children winning.
Game five:
Weymouth Bank vs Cameron's Gulf. The leading scorer on Weymouth Bank was Patrick Manning with 25 points!! He also played well on defense with 3 fouls. Eddie Murray also played a great game with 10 points! For Cameron's Gulf, the leading scorer was Shane Scannell with 15 points. Conor Stokes also played well with 13 points! The game ended 55-40 Weymouth Bank winning.
Game six:
IBEW Local 103 vs Weymouth Fire. The leading scorer for IBEW Local 103 was Neil Sanders with 10 points, he also fouled out of the game! Matt McCabe also played a good game with 3 fouls and 7 points. On Weymouth Fire, the leading scorer was Tyler Fasoli with 14 points! Derek Jensen also played well scoring 4 crucial points in the second half. The game ended 34-27 Weymouth Fire winning. |
Week 6 - Results and Highlights
1/23/12
Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Verizon vs. Fabiano Florist
Kyle Spaulding scored 10 points and Nick Ames and Cam Castro also played well for Verizon in their 40-25 victory over Fabiano Florist. Josh Holmes scored 11 points for Fabiano Florist, while Adrian Radel and Matt O’Neil provided defensive pressure.
Game 2: Councilor Paul J Leary vs. Dunkin Donuts
Nick and Matt Scannell combined for 24 points to lead Councilor Paul J Leary over Dunkin Donuts, 55-40. Will Perron and Jack Sheehan played well on both ends of the court for Councilor Leary, while Josh Andrews paced the Dunkin Donuts offense with 26 points.
Game 3: Weymouth Elks vs. Mitchelson Club
The Weymouth Elks outlasted Mitchelson Club in overtime, 50-44. Johnny Malonson and Jonathan Bruynell led the second half effort for the Elks, while Ryan Campbell and Brian Christo combined for 24 points for Mitchelson Club to force overtime.
Game 4: Weymouth Eagles vs. JF Price
Shawn Herdman scored 17 points, and Jeff Acciavatti and Joe Hally led JF Price to a 66-46 victory over the Weymouth Eagles. Kevin Lyons led the offense for the Eagles with 22 points, while Al Ramos and Mike Resca also provided outside shooting.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In Thursday’s first game Kelly’s Oil went up against Dell. In the first half, Dell came out strong offensively forcing Kelly’s Oil to play a strong defensive game. James Leahy and Colin Higgins were the leaders of Kelly’s Oil’s defensive efforts. Nick Mercurio kept momentum going for Dell, hustling throughout the half. At the beginning of the second half, Kelly’s oil knew they had a lot of ground to cover. Nick Struzzieri and Joe Walsh, the high scorers for Kelly’s oil, kept the game competitive by scoring 7 and 10 points respectively for their team. Despite top efforts from Kelly’s Oil, the offensive power of Dell could not be stopped. Cam Sullivan, the top scorer for Dell and of the game, hit 8 shots of his own along with two foul shots for a total of 16 points, giving Dell a final score of 45 while Kelly’s oil finished with 25.
In the second game of the night, Scapicchio Law Offices faced Eastern Exposure. The game remained close throughout the entirety of the first half with the score settling at 17-20 with Eastern Exposure on top. Scapicchio Law Offices had both strong offensive and defensive players. Anthony Debello, the top scorer for Scapicchio Law Offices and of the game, scored 13 points in the first half alone. Mike Gomez, also of Scapicchio Law Offices, was the defensive leader. His tough defensive game led to him fouling out at the end of the first half. On the other hand, the points for Eastern Exposure were dispersed amongst the team. Cam Powers was the cause of many of these baskets, feeding shooters and players down low. His unselfishness paid off. As the second half got underway, Jules Marcelin of Scapicchio Law Offices came alive. His presence on the court was significant. Despite this new energy, Eastern Exposure took off in the second half, earning 25 additional points, many a thanks to the team’s top scorer, Dakota MacDonald. Mike Howes of Eastern Exposure kept the team’s game at a fast pace with his constant hustle. The game ended in a final score of 33 to 45 with Eastern Exposure coming out on top.
Sunday Game 1: Weymouth Bank vs. South Shore Sports Therapy
Game one was an exhilarating start. It was a nail-bitter game with South Shore Sports Therapy just pulling ahead for the win (28-25). Both teams closely battled throughout the whole game and showed much effort both ways. Brian Keating was extremely dominant for South Shore Sports Therapy producing 21 out of their 28 points. Brian received great help from both Brendan Quinn and Jared Kennedy. James Batts had an awesome game with four points and making great plays all around. Weymouth Bank just trailed S. Shore Therapy showing great hustle. Julian Mincey had an outstanding game in all areas. He used his height to get several aggressive rebounds and post-up under the basket. In addition, he had a couple blocks and played strong defense keeping the aggressive edge for his team. Jack Ball did not stop hustling and pressured the other team with great offensive moves. His hard work paid off when he earned 7pointsfor Weymouth Bank. Jake Zaslaw also showed tremendous effort while playing good solid defense and had some nice shots. Christopher McMorrow had six points and showed great effort, along with Nick Fenney and Joey Butler who kept the team motivated with their intense hustle.
Game 2: Electroswitch vs. Mass Tire
In game two, Mass Tire defeated Electroswitch with a final score that was 34-15. Mass Tire pulled ahead with serious help from Zach Jones and Dylan Hines. Gerard Mackin was very involved under the boards and had many great rebounds. Ryan Hayes was always in position and had an awesome steal. For Electroswitch, Patrick Hegarty had a great impact with eight points and was a skillful ball handler. Also, D’Andre Maziarz played aggressive and helped out his team greatly on defense. Nathan Murphy had a couple awesome rebounds.
Game 3: Olden’s Pharmacy vs. Weymouth Summer Hoops
Game three was also another very close and exciting game. Weymouth Summer Hoops was able to pull away with the win, but not without a hard fight from Olden’s Pharmacy (29-35). Weymouth Summer Hoops had a couple key players that really helped the team. Daniel Freitas had an incredible game with ten points and Colin Manning assisted with seven points. William Spring made some great plays and passes that lead the team to their victory. Vinny Brown used his super fast speed to drive by Olden’s opponents. Olden’s Pharmacy played strong and hard until the last buzzer. JP Waegemann had a remarkable, effort-filled game with six points and forced the other team to have many turnovers with his solid defense. Micheal Pope’s shots were unstoppable and his awesome hustle plays got his teammates involved. Josh Gaton showed incredible hard work with aggressive defense, an awesome block, and many rebounds. Little superstar Dan Keenan was once again amazing. He wowed everyone with his behind the back, side shoulder,(whatever you want to call it I don’t even know how to describe it) hook shot.
Game 4: Great Cuts vs. Dunkin Donuts
In Game 4 Great Cuts won against Dunkin Donuts resulting in a final score of 33-16. If it was not shooting machine Kyle Montgomery Great Cuts may have not been able to pull away with the win. Kyle scored 18 points for Great Cuts. Nick Riley had a fantastic game with strong hustle and good shots. Robert Jones, definitely tried his hardest and constantly ran, helping his team make great plays. Dunkin Donuts had a tough game with no substitutes, but they still all showed much needed hard work, and never gave up. Playmaker Andrew Reynolds dominated the first half for his team with great defense, strong driving to the hoop, and excellent passes. John Feeney showed outstanding hard work and hustle. He never stopped running and he always got back on defense to support his team.
Game 5: Cathay Center vs. South Shore Savings
In Game five the intensity filled the air. It resulted in such a close game with Cathay Center stealing the win against South Shore Savings (22-18). Cameron Mason had an excellent game with nine points and made some awesome passes. David Canavan defiantly helped with team out knocking down a three along with a few other baskets. Ty-Ronn McCoy makes a huge impact on defense for Cathay Center and his aggressive and intense ways put great pressure of the opposing team. Ty-Ronn had several rebounds both offensively and defensively and his high energy helped motivate his team. Allan Barata had a hard working game. In the second half Allan got hit pretty hard, but that did not stop him from coming back and hustling his heart out to help make great defensive plays for his team. South Shore Savings also had a great trying effort. Chris Godosky tried very hard and had some nice rebounds because of his good positioning under the hoop. Aiden Halley also showed intense hustle was made very aggressive plays. Evan Couper fired some amazing shots being the high scorer for his team. Evan also showed off his great offensive skills to work his way to the hoop. Kevin O’Brien had an all around terrific game with great shots and strong D.
Game 6: Colonial Federal vs. Rogers Law Firm
Game six was the closest game of the day. Colonial Federal beat Rogers Law Firm by two points with a final score of 23-21. Hunter Lloyd was Colonial Federal’s highest scorer with 11 points. Troy Salmans was right behind Lloyd with 8 points. Zach Bouhov from Rogers Law Firm helped hold his team down with seven points and fantastic rebounds along with many fast breaks. Christopher Picard also was on the floor rolling for loose balls and hustling all over the court. Justin Maggard was another dominant player who ruled under the boards with 10 points.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
S Bank vs Cameron's Gulf. The leading scorer for S Bank was Richard Barrows with 12 points, he also played very good on defense with 3 fouls. Dylan Mahoney also played very well with 10 points! On Cameron's Gulf, the leading scorer was Conor Stokes with 12 points. Brian Waweru and Shane Scannell both contributed with 6 points each as well. The game ended 41-27 S Bank winning.
Game two:
Joseph T. Cazeault & sons vs Weymouth Fire. The leading scorer for Joseph T. Cazeault & sons was Zaire Fontes with 19 points! Johnny Cannavo and Colin Murphy both also helped out, Johnny with 4 points and Colin with 3. For Weymouth Fire, the leading scorers were Dan Picard and Nathan Liebert, both with 12 points! Joe Sandonato also played great with 8 points and a foul! The game ended 44-31 Weymouth Fire winning.
Game three:
Verizon vs Jimmy's Diner. The leading scorer for Verizon was AJ Gannon with 10 points and also 2 fouls! Nick Kelley also played well with 4 fouls and 6 points! For Jimmy's Diner, the leading scorer was Bridgette O'Reilly with 13 points, she had 4 fouls against her as well. Tyler Wallace also had an awesome game with 10 points! The game ended 39-25 Jimmy's Diner winning.
Game four:
Dentistry for Children vs S. Weymouth Barbor Shop. On Dentistry for Children, the leading scorers were Thomas Delorey and Jack Jamieson, each with 12 points! For S. Weymouth Barbor Shop, the leading scorer was Connor Mason with 6 points. Kayley Cripps also played very well with 4 points! The game ended 42-16 Dentistry for Children winning.
Game five:
Weymouth Police vs S. Weymouth K of C. The leading scorer for Weymouth Police was Chris Comeau with 7 points! But Dallas Marracco wasn't far behind him with 6 points. On S. Weymouth K of C, the leading scorer was Vincent Brennan with 16 points. AJ Sullivan also played an awesome game, contributing with 8 points! The game ended 41-17 S. Weymouth K of C winning.
Game six:
Weymouth Bank vs Quincy Credit. For Weymouth Bank, the leading scorer was Ben Randolph with 17 points! But Patrick Manning was right behind him with 16 points! They both played an outstanding game. For Quincy Credit, the leading scorer was Matteo Spadea with 10 points! Also Zach Struzzieri played very well, contributing 6 points. The game ended 45-27 Weymouth Bank winning.

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Dunkin Donuts vs. JF Price
Connor McCrea scored 25 points for JF Price, and sunk the game-winning free throw as time expired, as JF Price won a hard-fought battle over Dunkin Donuts, 49-48. Liam McLeod added 8 points for JF Price and Patrick Riley played tough defense, while Cam Lander, Mike Nigro, and Josh Andrews all played well for Dunkin Donuts.
Game 2: Mitchelson Club vs. Verizon
Matt Long, Dancho Ivanov, and Chris O’Sullivan paced the offense for Verizon in their 45-38 victory over Mitchelson Club. Brian Umano scored 18 points down low, while Scott McNulty and Colin O’Donnell led the defense for Mitchelson Club.
Game 3: Weymouth Eagles vs. Weymouth Elks
The Weymouth Elks outlasted the Weymouth Eagles, 50-43, in a back-and-forth game. Jonathan Meade, Chris Flipp, and Shane Lynch led the Elks’ efforts on both ends of the court. Nick Venturo, Alex Mercurio, and Alex Hurd all played great games for the Eagles despite the loss.
Game 4: Park Ave Market vs. Fabiano Florist
The final game of the day came down to the final minutes, as Fabiano Florist completed a fourth quarter comeback to defeat Park Ave Market, 62-57. Ben Flynn and Alex Rautiala led the offense for Fabiano Florist, while Matt Marsters and Doug O’Brien added defensive pressure. Matt Taylor and Heinz-Philip Fountain combined for 19 points for Park Ave Market.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In the first game this Thursday, Mass Tire took on Dunkin Donuts. The two teams were only separated by five points at the end of the half with Mass Tire on top thanks to nine points by Brett Jamieson. The defensive skills of Bobby O’Neil from Dunkin Donuts kept the first half close. Top scorer, Zack Jones of Mass Tire came alive in the second half causing his team to pull further ahead with the lead. Tommy Jaklitsch of Dunkin Donuts was a clear leader for his team, helping to keep the game close along with hustle from Sean Yergeau. Ultimately, Mass tire defeated Dunkin Donuts with a final score of 33 to 24.
In the second game of the night, Electroswitch played against Weymouth Summer Hoops. From the start, Electroswitch showed that they would hustle the whole game. Caleb O’Connor and D’Andre Maziarz displayed top effort throughout the game. Weymouth Summer Hoops displayed immense teamwork, showing that working together produces results. Electroswitch was down by less than ten points at the end of the half. Iassac Walker’s great defense assured that Weymouth Summer Hoops did not get any unearned baskets. Continuing to work together, Weymouth Summer Hoops expanded their lead in the second half with the help of defensive skills from Colin Manning and Zach Hoffman. Daniel Freitas was the leading scorer for Weymouth Summer Hoops. Pat Hagarty of Electroswitch was the top scorer for the game, with 17 points for his team. Despite the great hustle from Electroswitch, Weymouth Summer Hoops took the game with a final score of 31 to 57.
Dell vs. South Shore Savings
Game one was a great way to start off Sunday morning. South Shore Savings was able to dominant mostly the second half with taking the win over Dell 33-17. South Shore Savings had a couple key players that made the victory possible. Kevin O’Brien had an incredible game with a total of 17 points. Also, contributing to the team success was Ian Goodine who had many aggressive rebounds, steals, and four points. Evan Couper played an aggressive game with six points, and really played solid defense. Pat Kelly had a couple great plays and finished with six points. The underdogs, Dell did not give up once. Cam Sullivan had an intense and aggressive game with six points, but his intensity throughout the game helped keep his team motivated. Also, John Arnold very much contributed with nine points and showed phenomenal effort. Patrick Solomon did not stop hustling and earned himself great defensive rebounds.
Eastern Exposure vs. Colonial Federal
Game two Eastern Exposure vs. Colonial Federal showed amazing talent on both ends. Easter Exposure ended up taking the victory with a final score of 28-19. The usual all-star Cameron Powers put in work and dominated for his team being the play maker. He received help from John Destefanis who had an outstanding, aggressive game going for all the rebounds and loose balls. Without, Mark Medeiros I don’t know if the team would have been able to dominant like they did. Mark contributed with 12 points and applied great offensive skills. Dokata MacDonald used his height to get aggressive under the boards and help his team win rebounds both offensively and defensively. Although they lost, Colonial Federal still had a nice hard-working game. One of the key players that really carried Colonial Federal was Troy Salmans. Troy was unstoppable getting offensive rebounds and did not hesitate to put the ball back up, leaving him with 12 points. Andres Nunez continued to play his hardest and he hustled all game making good decisions and smart plays.
Rogers Law Firm vs. Scapicchio Law Office
Game three was the highest scoring game for all the teams. Rogers Law Firm defeated Scapicchio Law Office with a final score of 54-44. Both teams put in major work and each had skillful players battling at the hoop. For Rogers Law Firm, the top scorer was Justin Maggard who was just unstoppable under the boards and received 17 points for his team. Zach Bouhov also was a main factor in the win with 19 points and was very aggressive going to the hoop. Along with the top scorers, James Nardiello had an awesome game showing unbelievable hustle. He did not back down against any opponents on the other team and his hard work had a positive effect for his team. Chris Picard was another key player today for Rogers Law Firm. He resulted with six points, but he constantly helped run plays and did not stop running. Scapicchipio Law Office was right there with their opponents. All-star playmaker Anthony DeBello had a usual game with 18 points and helped his team come back. In addition, Patrick Sullivan had a great game with six points and many key aggressive plays. Mike Gomez definitely proved himself with 12 points and quick rebounds helping Scapicchio Law Office catch up. Ed Kelly’s hard work should not go unnoticed because he did play excellent with solid defense.
Kelley’s Oil vs. Great Cuts
Game four was definitely and intense nail-biting game. It was closer than the score expressed with Great Cuts defeating Kelley’s Oil 27-21. Great Cuts had key players like Kyle Montgomery, who played extremely aggressive defense and had one amazing block. Robert Jones also had a great game contributing to his team’s win. Scheron Cunningham held down the defense with a couple awesome steals and he had a couple offensive rebounds. Kelley’s Oil had to step their game up to compete with Great Cuts. James Leahy played such an intense game diving on the floor and fighting for jump balls. Also, for Kelley’s Oil Joe Walsh shared some great hustle plays and he made smart decisions. Towards the end of the game Nicholas Struzzieri made some great baskets and he also had one fantastic block.
Cathay Center vs. Weymouth Bank
Game 5 was also an extremely close game. Cathay Center played Weymouth Bank and Cathay Center resulted in taking the win with a final score of 37-31. Cathay Center played their hearts out right until the end as they were able to pull through. Exceptional players like Cam Mason had a big role for the team’s win with 19 points and his intensity rubbed off on the rest of his team. David Canavan was right in there helping Mason and David track down loose balls and helped carry the team offensively. Stephen Furtado was another factor that allowed Cathay Center to push through. On the other hand, Weymouth Bank has many skilled players and they performed very well, it just was not enough for this game. By the coach’s loud intensity, you could tell this was a close game. Julian Mincey is one remarkable player who uses his height to tower over opponents and provides many points for his team. Today, Mincey had 19 of the team’s points and he played with great team support and good sportsmanship. Despite his small size, Nick Feeney is remarkable. He does not let any bigger opponent bring him down, and he is one of the most hard- working kids on the court. Jake Mahoney and Jack Ball also expressed great effort hustling and helped to run team plays. *I would like to just make a quick note that score keepers and me, being in charge of the book only follow what the referees tell us regarding the fouls. If a coach wants to confront us again about putting down false fouls maybe you should also ask the referees, because we try our hardest. Thanks.
South Shore Sports Therapy vs. Olden’s Pharmacy
Game six was by far the closest game battling back and forth. The final score of the game was 28-26 and Olden’s Pharmacy celebrated the victory. Dan Keenan of Olden’s Pharmacy is a major play maker and has such a profound impact for his team. Not only did Dan have 16 points, but his assists to his teammates were remarkable. It was a whole team effort for Olden’s to come up with the victory. Micheal Miller had some really great jump shots and plays working with his teammates along with Tim Keeley who played solid defense. Chris Deluca showed many nice passes and ambition, as well as Josh Gaton. South Shore Sports Therapy was so close in stealing the victory! They played a tough, long game with major help by showstopper Brian Keating. Brian used his awesome skills to attack the basket and produce plays for his teammates to run off of. He finished with a total of 22 points trailing Olden’s. More help was given by Niko Spadea, playing hard defense and Jared Kennedy making great passes and showing great hustle. Jaydeep Saini was always in the right position to receive rebounds and Jordan Bonilla worked his hardest to get back on defense, making lead plays.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)

Weymouth Bank vs. Verizon. This was a very close game! On Weymouth Bank, Patrick Manning was the leading scorer with 13 points. Joe Sullivan also played a very good defensive game with 3 fouls and he also scored a basket for his team. On Verizon, AJ Gannon was the leading scorer with 20 points! Brady Lewis played a good game as well with 1 foul and he also scored 4 points. The game ended 39-31 Verizon winning.
Game two:
S Bank vs. IBEW Local 103. On S Bank, the leading scorer was Joe Barrows with 15 points. Dylan Mahoney also played a great game scoring 5 points for his team. On IBEW Local 103, the leading scorer was George Zarcov with 8 points! Declan Orrock also played well and scored a basket in the second half. The game ended 44-24 S Bank winning.
Game three:
Cameron's gulf vs. Scapicchio Law Office.On Cameron's gulf, Shane Scannell was the leading scorer with 13 points. Brendan Jeanjaquet also played very well offensively scoring 4 points for his team. On Scapicchio Law Office, Mark Matthews was the leading scorer with 12 points. Ryan Thompson also played a very strong game, scoring 2 baskets and also one foul! The game ended 32-24 Scapicchio Law Office winning.
Game four:
Jimmy's Diner vs. Quincy Credit. For Jimmy's Diner, the leading scorer was Bridgette O'Reilly with 11 points. Tyler Wallace also played a great game with 10 points! Patrick Gaudiano also played well and always stayed with his man on defense. On Quincy Credit, Paul Foisey was the leading scorer with 9 points for his team. Matteo Spadea also played very well with 7 points and one foul! The game ended 38-22 Jimmy's Diner winning.
Game five:
Dentistry for Children vs. Weymouth Police. The leading scorer for Dentistry for Children was Jack Jamieson with 10 points. Caleb Herring also played very well with 6 points and two fouls! John Niles also did well, making both of his foul shots and having one foul. For Weymouth Police, the leading scorer was Chris Comeau with 10 points. Elliot Mcleod also played very well offensively with 6 points! The game ended 29-23 Dentistry for Children winning.
Game six:
Weymouth Barber Shop vs. Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons. The leading scorer for Weymouth Barber Shop was Dennis Brooks with 4 points! Kayley Cripps also did very well on offense with 3 points, she also played very good defense. On Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons, the leading scorer was Zaire Fontes with 14 points. Colin Murphy also played very well with 12 points! Johnny Cannavo scored 6 points for his team as well! The game ended 38-16 Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons winning.

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Fabiano Florist vs. Weymouth Elks
Dalvin Lopes scored 24 points to lead the Weymouth Elks over Fabiano Florist, 63-49. Cian Flaherty and Andrew Johns also played great games for the Elks, while Donovan Golden, Matt O’Neil, and Adrian Radel led the attack for Fabiano Florist.
Game 2: Dunkin Donuts vs. Mitchelson Club
Dunkin Donuts had a comeback victory over Mitchelson Club, 48-44, behind excellent play in the paint from Cherif Dugraca, Darian Allen, and Michael Blanchard. James Lee and Ryan Campbell provided the outside shooting for Mitchelson Club, while Derek Comeau and Joe Lagrotteria provided good defensive pressure.
Game 3: Verizon vs. Councilor Paul J. Leary
Councilor Paul J. Leary defeated Verizon 51-31 behind 21 points from Matt Scannell. Joe McDonald and Logan Smith also helped pace the offense for Councilor Leary. Dagan Ficociello, Nick Ames, and Benjamin Dunne all played well for Verizon despite the loss.
Game 4: Park Ave Market vs. Weymouth Eagles
Kevin Lyons scored 10 points while Mike Resca and Mike Donahue led the Weymouth Eagles to a 54-24 victory over Park Ave Market. Sam Brown, Dan Sheehan, and Jared Thomas played well on both ends of the court for Park Ave.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
This week, the first game was between Colonial Federal and South Shore Sports Therapy. Only three points separated the two teams at half time with South Shore Sports Therapy on top. Niko Spadea and strong lefty, Brian Keating, led South Shore Sports Therapy in points for the first half helping the team to gain the slight lead going into the last half. However, Troy Salams of Colonial Federal had an outstanding second half with ten points while also leading both teams in rebounds. In the end, Colonial Federal pulled out the victory. The final score was Colonial Federal, 33, South Shore Sports Therapy, 27.
In the second game of the night, South Shore Savings took on Weymouth Bank. Defense was key for both teams throughout the game. Evan Couper and Ian Goodine were the defensive backbones of South Shore Savings, while Liam Butler and Julian Mincey were the big defensive forces for Weymouth Bank. In the first half, the lead jumped back and forth between the two teams, ending with a score of 19-18 at the half with South Shore Savings taking the lead. However, after the second half, Weymouth Bank broke away to take the win from South Shore Savings with a final score of 38 to 27. Chris McMorrow, Jake Mahoney, and Liam Butler all worked together nicely in the second half to raise the score for Weymouth Bank.
Great Cuts vs. Cathay Center
The first game on Sunday was a great start. It concluded being a close game and everyone positively contributed for their team. Great Cuts took the victory with a score of 31-26. A key player on Great Cuts that made a positive impact for the team was Josh Chery. His hard work under the boards paid off when he got many offensive rebounds. Overall, Josh had 8 points and made crucial baskets for his team. Along with Josh, another player that really showed great efforts was Shawn Rice. Shawn played with intensity and was extremely aggressive throughout the whole game. The victory was a whole team effort with awesome teamwork. Kyle Montgomery, Derek Thomas, Liam O’Donovan, and Robert Jones also helped out the team immensely making nice plays and each getting a few baskets. For Cathay Center many players stepped to try to trail Great Cuts. Keeping them in the game with 9 points Cameron Mason had a terrific game, both offensively and defensively. In addition, David Canavan and Jared Newman added great pressure against Great Cuts each having about 6 baskets.
Scapicchio Law Ofiices vs. Electroswitch
In today’s second game it was Scapicchio Law Offices that came out on top. It was not just about getting baskets every rebound and defensive play made a huge influence. William Loud hustled throughout the whole game and played strong defense. His solid defense and alertness of his opponents was a huge factor in dark green’s winning. Patrick Sullivan had an outstanding game along with Mike Gomez. Even with the defeat, Electroswitch team blue had a good game. Patrick Hegarty was one aggressive player that stuck out because of his great hustle and ability to get back and made good defensive decisions. Alongside Hegarty, D’Andre Maziarz hustled hard and kept the team motivated to come back.
Dunkin Donuts vs. Dell
Game three was a game full of motivated players. Dunkin Donuts defeated Dell ending with a score of 32-21. Dunkin Donuts consisted of a team that included hard-working players. Andrew Reynolds and Tom Jaklitsch were the dynamic duo and completed many successful plays together. Towards the end of the game, Tom Jaklitsch was unstoppable and had a huge 20 points to secure their win. For a while Dell struggled to keep up with Dunkies but they eventually closed the gap. Cam Sullivan never gave up and played hard straight through the game. Also, John Arnold had key baskets and played very strong defense.
Weymouth Summer Hoops vs. Mass Tire
Mass Tire clutched the fourth game with a win over Weymouth Summer Hoops of 39-24. Influential players that made an outstanding impact for Weymouth Summer Hoops were William Spring and Steven Kelcourse. The hustle that both players showed were phenomenal and they kept their team alive. Kelcourse made six points and had pivotal hustle plays along with William Spring who had seven points. Mass Tire was able to run away with the lead thanks to the dominant player Brett Jamieson. Dylan Hines had an amazing game fighting through everything. Gerard Mackin provided the team with at least 7 rebounds and under the boards made a great impact.
The Rogers Law Firm vs. Kelley’s Oil
This fifth game was such a thriller. It began being close, and suddenly The Rogers Law Firm was able to secure the win 44-20. Zach Bouhov was very dominant for his team and provided help wherever they needed. Whether it was getting back on defense for fast breaks, or just getting aggressive offensive rebounds, Zach was there. Another one of The Rogers Law Firm players that hustled his heart out was Jordan O’Donell. Regardless of his size Jordan fought for every ball and was always trying his hardest on every play. Jordan gave 100% and also made some great defensive plays that kept the lead up for his team. Lead scorer of Kelley’s Oil was Justin Deane. Justin’s skills made a huge difference for his team. With the fast breaks he was able to tear off on he almost forced the comeback. Not only Justin but also his teammates helped force the comeback. Even though, it may not have been enough to pull through both teams had a great all around effort.
Olden’s Pharmacy vs. Eastern Exposure
The last game was by far the most exhilarating. It was such a close game with Easter Exposure winning by one basket, 36-35. It was back and forth the whole game with two star players Cameron Powers and Dan Keenan battling for the victory. Dan Keenan had an outstanding 20 points for Eastern Exposure, and Powers was trailing right behind with a booming 18 points. Micheal Pope made a couple three’s at a crucial time towards the last few minutes. Micheal also had a great game with 10 points. John Destefanis showed strong hustle and received rebounds both ways.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
IBEW Local 103 vs S.Weymouth Barbor shop. The leading scorer for the maroon team was Neil Sanders with 12 points. Marco Pizzi and Sean O'Brien also contributed, each scoring two points. Matt McCabe had a great defensive game with four fouls, he also scored six points. For the the white team Nick Dragone had a great game scoring six points. Kayley Cripps and Adam Hallahan also both helped their team with four points each. The game ended 31-24 with S. Weymouth Barbor shop winning.
Game two:
Dentistry for Children vs Scapicchio Law Office. For the aqua team, Jack Jamieson was the leading scorer with 15 points! Thomas Delorey wasn't far behind with 11 points. John Niles also contributed with 6 points and Caleb Herring with 4 points. For the grey team, Matt McDonald was the leading scorer with 8 points. Conor White and Nick Tardanico also played well, Conor scoring 5 and Nick scoring 4 points. The game ended 36-33 Dentistry for Children winning.
Game three:
Quincy Credit vs S Bank. The leading scorer for Quincy Credit was Matteo Spadea with 10 points! Paul Foisey also played well with 5 points and Joe Rogers with 4 and Maggie Ball with 2 points! For S Bank, the leading scorer was Richard Barrows with 16 points! Dylan Mahoney did really well on offense also scoring 4 points and got one foul. The game ended 36-31 S Bank winning.
Game four:
Weymouth Fire vs Weymouth Bank. The leading scorer for the green team was Tyler Fasoli, scoring 15 points. Dan Picard and Patrick McNiff also had good games, each scoring 4 points. Colin Liebert had a good defensive game with two fouls against him. For the red team, the leading scorer was Patrick Manning with 18 points, but not far behind him was Ben Randolph, scoring 16 points. Joe Sullivan also had a good game with 6 points. The game ended 50-28 Weymouth Bank winning.
Game five:
S. Weymouth K of C vs Verizon. The leading scorer for the green team was Vincent Brennan with 8 points. AJ Sullivan also had a great offensive game with 7 points of his own! James Curran also did good scoring a basket. For Verizon, AJ Gannon and Liam Norve were the leading scorers, each scoring 13 points! Nick Kelley also contributed 9 points including a three pointer! Brady Lewis also played well scoring four points. The game ended 45-21 Verizon winning.
Game six:
Joseph T. Cazeault and Sons vs Jimmy's Diner
The leading scorer for the brown team was Zaire Fontes with 11 points. Colin Murphy had a great game defensively and offensively with two fouls and 4 points! For the yellow team, Bridgette O'Reilly was the leading scorer with 12 points. Rory DeLuca also had a great game with 8 points and 3 fouls against him. Mike Hastings also contributed with 4 points! The game ended 31-17 Jimmy's Diner winning.

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Game 1: Councilor Paul J. Leary vs. Mitchelson Club
Brian Umano was dominant down low for Mitchelson Club, scoring 12 points, in their 48-43 victory over Councilor Paul J. Leary. Robert Terravecchia and Scott McNulty also contributed to Mitchelson Club’s incredible fourth quarter comeback. Nick Scannell scored 15 for Councilor Leary while Henry McDonald and Sebastian Stypulkowski added good defensive pressure.
Game 2: Weymouth Elks vs. Park Ave Market
Shane Lynch and Jon Bruynell paced the Weymouth Elks on both ends of the court in a hard-fought 56-50 win over Park Ave Market. Gabe Montenegro, Frankie Dragone, and Ryan Craig led Park Ave Market and challenged the Elks despite the loss.
Game 3: Dunkin Donuts vs. Verizon
Dunkin Donuts defeated Verizon, 55-45, behind a great all-around team effort. Cherif Dugraca, Derek Carvalho, and Andrew McCabe combined for 16 points to pace the Dunkin Donuts offense. Matt Long provided the offense for Verizon, scoring 21 points, while Kyle Spaulding and Dan Berg led Verizon’s defensive effort.
Game 4: JF Price vs. Fabiano Florist
Tom Nolan and Liam Hally combined for 18 points for JF Price in their close 54-49 victory over Fabiano Florist. Anthony DiNatale scored 11 points and Ben Flynn added 8 for Fabiano Florist to pace the offense despite the loss.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In today's first game between Dell and Southshore Sports Therapy, it was
Southshore Sports Therapy who came out on top 36-28. Eric Farrell helped
lead his team to victory with 10 points, and teammate Brian Keating
contributed 8. For Dell, Cam Sullivan brought his A game like usual and
had 12 points, but it was not enough to bring his team to victory. Alex
Kennedy also scored 11 points for Dell.
Today's second game was a thriller and went down to the last seconds.
Throughout the game it appeared as if Scapicchio Law Offices had it in the
bag, but Dunkin Donuts fought back and made it a close game towards the
end. Dunkin Donuts hit two key foul shots to go up by 1 with about 5
seconds left. As it looked like Scapicchio Law Offices had no shot, the
ball was inbounded to the star of the game, Anthony Debello, who quickly
dribbled to half court and launched a prayer-and made it. The final score
was 42-40, Debello finishing with 22 points and teammate Mike Gomez
finishing with 9. For Dunkin Donuts, Tom Jaklitsch lead with 12 and Bobby
Foley ended with 10.
Weymouth Summer Hoops beat South Shore Savings, 30-26. Nick Spinella worked hard down low for 7 points, with Danny Freitas scoring 6 in the win. Aidan Hally played solid defense, alongside the sharp outside shooter Evan Cooper, who had 10 points for South Shore Savings. Eastern Exposure went on to defeat Kelly’s Oil, 39-20. Leading the way was Cam Powers with 9 points and Dakota MacDonald, who scored 6 points and fought for 12 rebounds. John Dimodica and Colin Higgins each scored 4, coming up short for Kelly’s Oil. Mass Tire earned a win against Cathay Center, beating them 33-21. Trey Randolph contributed with 5 points, alongside Zach Jones with 8 points for Mass Tire. On the other side, Jared Newman had several steals with Cameron Mason laying in 11 points in the loss. Later on, Weymouth Bank defeated Olden’s Pharmacy, 31-25. Flying down the court during fastbreaks were Jake Zaslaw and Liam Butler, each scoring 6 for Weymouth Bank. Brendan McColgan broke up many plays down low, scoring 5 of his own points, while Matt O’Neil dropped 4 points, coming up short in the end.
The Rogers Law Firm vs. Electroswitch
Joe Concannon ran the offense at the point guard position connecting with Chris Picard on a pair of jumpers to pick up the win for Rogers Law. In a trying effort Pete Hickey from Electroswitch led his team with eleven points.
Colonial Federal vs. Great Cuts
Derek Thomas gave the spark Great Cuts needed to secure the win by scoring eleven and hitting the game's only three, however Colonial Federal's big man Drew Lovely anchored their defense and provided a solid eight points for his team.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
Cameron's gulf vs S. Weymouth K of C was a close game. For the orange team Conor Stokes was the leading scorer with ten points, he also had a good defensive game with four fouls against him. Shane Scannell also played a good game with four points for his team, he did a very good job of handling the ball as well. For the green team Brian Moriarty was the leading scorer with eight points, but Vincent Brennan was close behind him with seven points. James Curran also had a great game scoring four points and playing well defensively with three fouls against him. The game ended 23-18 S. Weymouth K of C winning.
Game two:
Jimmy's Diner vs Weymouth Fire. For the yellow team, Bridgette O'Reilly led her team in points with sixteen total for her team. Mike Hastings also battled hard defensively, fouling out of the game. Justin Dunphy contributed to his teams win as well with ten points. For the green team, Colin Liebert and Derek Jensen were tied for leading scorer, each with eight points. Dan Picard had a good game as well, scoring four points. The game ended 41-25 Jimmy's Diner winning.
Game three:
Dentistry for Children vs Verizon was a very good game. Brett Jamieson led his team with eleven points in total. Jacob Angus also contributed with seven points. On Verizon, AJ Gannon was the leading scorer with eleven total points for his team, but he was followed closely behind by Nick Kelley who scored ten points. AJ and Nick played very hard defensively too, AJ following out and Nick with four fouls. Justin Chao had a good defensive game also, with three fouls! The game ended 35-25 Verizon winning.
Game four:
Scappichio Law Office vs S Bank was a close game. The leading scorer for the gray team was Mark Matthews with a total of fourteen points, he showed good ball handling skills and control with the ball. Ryan Thompson also helped out offensively, contributing eight points to his teams score. For the purple team, Richard Barrows was the leading scorer with twelve points. Killian Purcell also had a great game, scoring five points and helping out a lot on defensive, with three fouls against him! The game ended 34-30 S Bank winning.
Game five:
Quincy Credit vs IBEW Local 103. For the gray team, Paul Foisy led his team scoring eighteen points! He went hard to the basket when ever he had the opportunity. Brendan Crowley also had a good game, scoring ten points for his team! For the maroon team, Matt McCabe and Neil Sanders led their team in baskets, each scoring ten points. Jack Ogorek wasn't far behind them though with eight points! The game ended 44-32 with Quincy Credit winning.
Game six:
S. Weymouth Barbor Shop vs. Weymouth Police. For the white team, Nick Dragone and Connor Mason led the team each with six points. Zack Silver also helped a lot, contributing four points to his teams score. Adam Hallahan also had a good defensive game, with two fouls against him. For the blue team, Chris Comeau led the team with ten points. Jim Abdallah contributed a lot as well with six points. They played a solid game all the way through with could passing and taking a lot of shots. The game ended 28-18 with Weymouth Police winning.

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Josh Andrews scored 23 points and Brendan Corrigan added a great game for Dunkin Donuts in their 41-35 victory over the Weymouth Eagles. Anthony Laugelle and Devon Garland led the effort for the Eagles despite the loss. Mitchelson Club defeated Park Ave Market, 50-25, behind a great all-around team effort. Joe Brav and Colin O’Donnell paced the offense for Mitchelson Club, while Heinz-Philip Fountain and Joe Cinquini played well for Park Ave. Stephen Picard was a force in the paint and John Rouzaut added tough defense for Councilor Paul J. Leary in their 55-23 win over Fabiano Florist. Josh Holmes and Mark Petrucelli led Fabiano Florist on both ends of the court. The Weymouth Elks defeated J.F. Price, 61-23, behind 21 points from Dalvin Lopes and 9 from Johnny Malonson. Patrick Riley and Chris Iacomini led J.F. Price, and Liam McLeod hit a clutch three-point buzzer beater at the end of the third quarter.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In Division II, James Leahy and Joe Walsh from Kelly's Oil, shared a team high 7 points in a losing effort against Scapicchio Law Offices who's point guard Anthony Debello dropped sixteen points shooting a perfect four for four from the free throw line.
Four different players from Weymouth Summer Hoops had nine points in a great team win against Cathay Center who's power forward Tyrone had six points and two free throws. In Sundays' first game between Mass Tire and Dell, Mass Tire came out on top, winning 35-29. Leading the way as usual, Brett Jamieson had 18 points.
Teammate Zachary Jones added 13. For Dell, scoring was much more
distributed, with little man Cam Sullivan leading the way with 10 points and
battling for rebounds amongst the big guys. His teammates Alex Kennedy
scored 8 points and Tom Brigham had 4.
Game between Electroswitch and Weymouth Bank was close for most of the way, but towards the end of the game with the help of Julian Mincey, Weymouth Bank pulled away and never gave up their lead. The game ended with a score of 32-13. Julian finished with 18 points and an amazing 11 blocks. For Electroswitch, Pete Hickey and Jakob Welch added 4 points each, but unfortunately nothing was enough to over come the deficit.
Eastern Exposure edged out Great Cuts in a 30-25 win. Mark Mederios had 8 points, with John Destefanis driving hard for 4 points. Will Dwayne played solid defense and Kyle Montgomery had 11 points in the loss. In a last-minute finish, Dunkin Donuts defeated Rogers Law Firm, 31-30. Bobby O’Neal led his team to a win with 9 points, while Joe Severance got 4 second-chance points down low. Justin Maggard fought for his 13 points on Rogers Law Firm, alongside David Liddell, laying in 6. Elsewhere, South Shore Sports Therapy beat SS Savings, 21-15, led by the aggressive play of Brendan Quinn and Niko Spadea, each scoring 4. Patrick Kelly of SS Savings had 5 points, while Kevin O’Brien dropped in 5. In the final game of the day, Olden’s Pharmacy defeated Colonial Federal, 25-21. Brendan McColgan scored 7, with Danny Keedan coming up clutch in the end for 5 points. On the other side, Troy Salmons went off with 17 points, while Chris Lee ran the floor hard for 3 in their loss.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game one:
In the first game of the morning S Bank (purple) faced Jimmy's Diner (yellow). Jimmy's Diner started off with the lead scoring ten points in the first half, Justin Dunphy scoring five of those points! He continued to have six more points in the second half. Also for Jimmy's Diner, Rory DeLuca scored nine points, Bridgette O'Reilly had six points and Matt Sharpe scored four points! For the purple team, Richard Barrows led his team in baskets with a total of thirteen points in the game! Joe Barrows also had four points and Dillon Lawlor had three to help his team. It was a good game ending in 34-22 with Jimmy's Diner taking the win.
Game two:
The second game was between IBEW Local 103 (maroon) and S. Weymouth K of C (light green) and it was a very close game. They were neck and neck the whole game, each scoring nine points in the first half. George Zarcov from the maroon team started off the game very good with seven of his teams points in the first half, he continued to shoot well in the second half scoring another seven points! Also for the maroon team, Matt McCabe was a great offensive player scoring eight points. Neil Sanders had a great defensive game also with four fouls, he scored two points as well. From the green team, Vincent Brennan had a great game with twelve points, and also showed off his defensive side with four fouls! Brian Moriarty also was very helpful to his teams win scoring nine points. AJ Sullivan had a good defensive game as well with three fouls! The game ended in a 25-24 score with S. Weymouth K of C winning.
Game three:
In the third game, Cameron's Gulf (orange) battled against S. Weymouth Barbor Shop (white) in a very close game. For the orange team, Shane Scannell was the teams leading scorer with twelve total points! Liam McDonald also had a good defensive game with three fouls. Brian Waweru also contributed to his teams win with four points. For the white team, Nick Dragone and Dennis Brooks both helped their team start off the half with each of them scoring four points! Nick also went on to score another basket in the second half. Adam Hallahan also played very good defense having three fouls against him and also scoring a foul shot! The game ended with a 20-19 score, Cameron's Gulf winning.
Game four:
The fourth game was Verizon (blue) vs. Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons (brown). On verizon, AJ Gannon had a very strong game leading his team in baskets with nineteen total points. Nick Kelley also had a good game with six points and Brady Lewis, Nathaniel Mackin, Kevin Kiely and Liam Norve all had four points! Kevin Kiely also played very strong defense fouling out of the game! For the brown team, Zaire Fontes was on fire with fifteen points total for his team! He had great ball handling skills. Evan Phillips also contributed with four points! Cam Leonard played well for his team defensively with two fouls against him as well. The game ended with a 41-19 score, Verizon winning.
Game five:
The fifth game was between Weymouth Police (light blue) and Weymouth bank (red). For the blue team, Chris Comeau was the leading scorer with nine points for his team! Anthony Danafio was also a contributer with four points. Jim Abdallah played very strong defense and was very helpful in getting the ball up the court showing off his ball handling skills! For the red team, Patrick Manning was the leading scorer with twelve points! He also played very well defensively with two fouls. Ben Randolph also had eight points and played a great game as well. Eddie Murray contributed to his team too with six points and a foul! The game ended with a 36-19 score, Weymouth Bank winning.
Game six:
The last game of the day was Weymouth Fire (dark green) vs. Scapicchio Law Office (gray). The green team had many strong players. Tyler Fasoli demonstrated great shooting with four foul shots in the first half! Colin Liebert scored six points for his team and not close behind him Joe Sandonato had five points! For the gray team, Mark Matthews and Ryan St. Clair each had ten points! Conor White also demonstrated great defense with three fouls, he also scored two points! Nick Tardanico had great ball handling skills and scored four points for his team. The game ended with a 30-17 score, Scapicchio Law Office winning. |

Leighton Division (8-9th Grades)
Brendan Gifford and Brett Schlager led Park Ave Market over JF Price, 61-46. Connor McCrea and Austin Monroe paced JF Price’s efforts on both ends of the court. Mitchelson Club defeated Fabiano Florist, 40-34, in a hard-fought game. Brian Christo scored 18 points for Mitchelson Club, and Bobby Doucette added great defense. Adrian Radel and Peter Kinney played strong games for Fabiano Florist despite the loss. Councilor Paul J. Leary defeated the Weymouth Eagles, 48-34, behind excellent offense from Jack Sheehan and James Walsh, while Eric Sacchetti and Brian Garland led the Eagles. Christian Arce and Jacob White played well in the paint for the Weymouth Elks in their 45-25 victory over Verizon. Dagan Ficociello, Matt Dunn, and Cam Castro played well for Verizon.
Division II (6-7th Grades)
In Division II, Weymouth Summer Hoops beat Scapiccho Law, 32-24. Will Spring led the way with 14 points, while Anthony Debello went off with 19 points in the loss. Electroswitch defeated Kelly’s Oil, 32-30, with Pete Hickey helping his team, scoring 9. Justin Deane put in 13 as Kelly’s came up just short in the last quarter.
Colonial Federal vs. Weymoth Bank -
Mincey imposed a Shaq-like presence in the paint by scoring ten points and dominating the boards for Weymouth Bank. Although Lloyd contributed a team high eight points for Colonial Federal, Weymouth broke away with the win finishing up with a 34-21 victory.
Great Cuts vs. Dell - Jones for the Great Cuts squad delivered eight points from the point guard position. However Kennedy from Dell, used his speed in transition to come away with eleven points and a win for his team.
SS Savings and Rogers Law Firm ended with a Rogers Law
Firm victory 27-22. For Rogers Law Firm, Zach Bouhov and Justin Maggard
played well, dropping 10 points each. For SS Savings, Kevin O'Brien had 11
points in the loss and Ian Goodine had 4.
Game between Mass Tire and Olden's Pharmacy ended with a Mass Tire win
32-23. Brett Jamieson lead the way for Mass Tire with 10 points and played
great defense. Teammate Zack Jones also added 9 points. On the other side,
for Olden's Pharmacy, Brendan McColgan did his part and scored 10 points,
and speedy Dan Keedan had 8.
Game between Dunkin Donuts and Eastern Exposure finished with an Eastern
Exposure win 36-30. Eastern Exposure players Cameron Powers and Dakota
MacDonald both had solid games, Powers with 14 points and MacDonald with 10.
For Dunkin Donuts, Bobby O'Neal led his team with 11 points, and teammates
Andrew Reynolds and Tom Jaklitsch contributed with 6 points each.
SS Sports Therapy took the win over Cathay Center 27-24. Brian Keating of SS
Sports Therapy dominated most of the game and finished with 22 points. His
teammates Eric Farrell and Jared Kennedy were the only others to score,
Farrell finishing with 3 and Kennedy with 2. For Cathay Center, Cameron
Mason finished the game with 10 points in his team's loss, and Ty-Ronn McCoy
added 4.
Hennelly Division (4-5th Grades)
Game One:
For the first game of the morning, Dentistry for Children (aqua) sure gave Quincy Credit (light gray) a run for their money! In the first half Paul Foisy of Quincy Credit helped his team to gain the lead scoring seven points, he also played very good defense, stealing passes and blocking shots. He ended up being his teams lead scorer with nine points! On Dentistry for Children they started off slow in the first half but scored six points in the second half getting closer to tying it up. Thomas Delorey and Joe Gough each scored four points to help their team! The final score ended up being 17-10 with Quincy Credit winning, but it was still very exciting.
Game Two:
This game had so much action! Joseph T. Cazeault & Sons (brown) battled very hard defensively against Weymouth Bank (red) causing four fouls in the first half! Zaire Fontes was a very big influence on the brown team, scoring ten points! He had two fouls against him also, showing he played hard defense. Colin Murphy also played very hard scoring eight points for his team and also having two fouls against him! Weymouth Bank played a great game defensively and offensively, Patrick Manning had a very good offensive and defensive game drawing two fouls and scoring seven points for his team. Ben Randolph also had an amazing game scoring ten points! They both played very strong and kept taking shots. Eddie Murray, Joe Sullivan and Anthony Terravecchia also each scored four points! Both teams played very well with a final score of 31-18 with Weymouth Bank winning.
Game Three:
In the third game of the day Cameron's Gulf (orange) and Weymouth Police (light blue) had a very close game! Abel Arce, Shane Scannell and Brian Waweru each scored four points and Brian also played a good defensive game with four fouls! On Weymouth Police Chris Comeau was the teams leading scorer with sixteen of the twenty points! He played amazing offense and was very aggressive towards the basket. It was a close game with the final score being 20-18 with Weymouth Police winning.
Game Four:
Weymouth Fire (dark green) vs. S. Weymouth K of C (light green) was also very close! Both teams played their hardest. On Weymouth Fire Dan Picard was the leading scorer with eight points! He did very good with following his shots and kept shooting. Derek Jensen and Nathan Liebert also both scored four points to help their team too! On the light green team Vincent Brennan was the leading scorer with eleven points! He did very good at getting open and making an accurate shot. James Curran also had a great offensive game scoring six points for his team! The final score was 27-24 with S. Weymouth K of C with the win.
Game Five:
The fifth game of the day was also very close between IBEW Local 103 (maroon) and Scapicchio Law Offices (gray). For the maroon team, George Zarcov was the leading scorer with nine points! He was very aggressive under the hoop and scored one foul shot! Matt McCabe was also a key member to the team defensively with three fouls on himself. On the gray team, Mark Matthews was the leading scorer with eight points! He had a great offensive game and came out very strong scoring six of those points in the first half. Ryan St. Clair wasn't very far behind him though with six points in the game! Both teams showed a lot of effort and it showed in the final score which ended up being 22-18 with Scapicchio Law Offices winning.
Game Six:
Jimmy's Diner (yellow) vs. S. Weymouth Barbor Shop (white) was a fun game to watch. The leading scorer for the yellow team was Bridgette O'Reilly with twelve points! She was on fire with a combination of jump shots and low shots from the block. She was always moving in and out of the key and played her position very well. Another good offensive player on this team was Rory DeLuca with eight points! For the white team, Dennis Brooks, Connor Mason, Sean Young and Jack Hall each scored two points, putting a team effort into their game! The final score ended up being 26-8 with Jimmy's Diner winning.
Game Seven:
In the final game of the day, S Bank (purple) and Verizon (blue) played a very good game! For S Bank, their leading scorer was Richard Barrows with seven points. In the second half the team had eight fouls against them! The leading scorer for the blue team was AJ Gannon with fourteen points! He played amazing with excellent ball handling skills as well.
