The regular WJBL League (the “Town League”) for grades 4 through 12 has three conferences and the Senior League. The Hennelly Conference (Conference III) is for grades 4 and 5 and is named for Richard Hennelly of Weymouth who provided unmatched contributions to the League during his many years on the Board of Directors. Conference II is for grades 6 and 7, and Conference I is for grades 8 and 9. The WJBL tries to accommodate all players registering but may not be able to do so due the limited availability of gym time.

WJBL supports 10 travel teams. There are two travel teams for the 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8th grades. Players have to tryout for a position every year. See the Travel League tab of this web page for more information. |

The Senior League for grades 10 through 12 plays on Thursday nights. There are no practices. This is an excellent opportunity
for older students to continue to play basketball in a competitive environment. |

The WJBL is a non-profit organization which is 100 percent supported by sponsors, registration fees, and the calendar drive. We receive great cooperation from the town of Weymouth, but are required to pay for all operating expenses – including gym time. |

The annual Calendar Drive is our major fund raiser. Prizes are awarded to players selling the most calendars, and to teams selling the most. A player must sell five calendars to be eligible to play in the All-Star game. |

For the 2009 – 2010 year, we will not send letters announcing registration dates to players through the schools due to the significant expense of doing so. Players and parents should check this web page for important dates and announcements. |
